I am a Senior Welder / Fabricator and have worked at KYJO for four years.

2.     Describe your daily activities on the job at KYJO?

I do a variety of tasks depending on the day. Every day is a little different, and I constantly have something new to do. On any given day I might be fitting, welding, drilling, or even cutting parts.

3.     How did you first learn about KYJO?

I learned about KYJO through my grade twelve co-op placement at CASS.

4.     What have you gained from working at KYJO?

I have pretty much learned everything I know about welding from my time at KYJO Steel, first through my co-op placement, followed by my welding apprenticeship, and now through my continued employment.

5.     What is on your wish list for the next 5 years with KYJO?

My goal is to continue my growth and further establish my skills as I continue my career.

6.     What is your favourite part about working for KYJO?

My favourite part of my job is being a part of all the unique and custom work that would not normally go through a weld fab shop. No day is the same, and every project is different!

7.     What is your proudest moment at KYJO?

I do not have just one proud moment.  I can honestly say I am proud of every job that I finish.

8.     If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?

That’s a tough one. I think I would work for a custom and performance exhaust shop.

9.     What are 3 words to describe the KYJO culture?

KYJO Steel is laid back, family oriented, and definitely eventful!

10.   What do you enjoy outside of KYJO?  What are your hobbies?

When I’m not working, I love fixing cars and working on anything mechanical. I like to try new things with my family and enjoy traveling and exploring new places.
